Yep, NSW Bushfire Brigade Alerts is available to anyone.
There are two costs that will come up but all are reasonably priced.
Firstly, notifications are sent to Pushover, which is a third-party app. Pushover is free to use for 30 days and then requires a single one-off $5 USD payment. This does however give you the Pushover app for life and so it's available for any other future uses.
Secondly, I also charge a monthly subscription that is used to cover the expenses for running the service, which are the IT costs of 24/7 scanning and sending Pushover messages. This is a modest fee of $0.50/month per LGA you want new incident alerts for and $0.50/month per LGA you want incident update alerts for. For most users this amounts to $2-$3 a month.
Non-RFS LGA's (i.e. inner Sydney and Newcastle) cap out at a total of $0.50/month regardless of how many you have. Alerts for incidents that go to Watch & Act or Emergency Warning are completely free.
This subscription will ony be requested after 31 days of joining, so you have a free 31 days to test NSW Bushfire Brigade Alerts out. You are also welcome to change the LGA's you monitor to reduce your subscription cost.
No unfortunately I don't have the equipment/experience to do that.
Not a problem, just email tupperwarec@hotmail.com with what you would like changed.
